Between Pixels and Prints: My Path to Creative Freedom
Welcome to my homepage. My name is Thomas, I was born in 1995 and started taking photographs in autumn 2019.
I got into photography through my family. They have been enthusiastic amateur photographers for years. I made my first attempts at photography when we were taking a walk together.
On the following page you can see some pictures from my early days with the camera.
As we all know, a master doesn't fall from the sky. My first pictures were... in need of improvement. I still like looking at some of them, though, because they are very minimalistic and remind me of my early days.
After I was temporarily unable to pursue my actual hobby, air rifle shooting, during the "Corona lockdown", I needed a new activity. So I devoted myself even more to photography.
After many attempts, I started macro photography in spring 2020. I quickly started enjoying making the little things look big. I bought a macro lens for this. But here too, it took me a while for the pictures to be good enough to show them to someone. My sister showed me a lot and helped me. It may have cost her a few nerves 😊.
In the same year I started taking landscape photos. I usually did macro photography in the morning, as the light is at its most beautiful then and has a charm all of its own. It's worth getting up early and photographing the sunrise. Even if it doesn't always turn out the way you imagine it, it's nice to just enjoy the silence.
I also enjoyed photographing the sunsets. They actually suit me better, as I'm usually a late riser.
But here too, my first pictures weren't exactly great. Nevertheless, if you're having fun, you shouldn't give up straight away.
Also in 2020, I photographed a wedding for the first time. That was also the beginning of portrait and wedding photography. Since then, I have been photographing portraits, weddings, and pets.
I always find it particularly fun to photograph people. When you look at the finished pictures at home and realise that you have captured special emotions, that always makes me very happy.
Spring 2022 was simply too hot. Unfortunately, there were too few insects to photograph. I then decided to buy a telephoto lens so that I could focus more on animal photography.
I've already been able to take some great pictures there. But I've realized that I'm too impatient to sit in a tent or something similar and wait for hours. So I go for a walk and photograph everything that runs or flies across my lens. This is a great way to enjoy nature and switch off from the stress of everyday life.
Once a year I go on a lost place tour with my sister. I find abandoned companies the most interesting. You can discover so many little things that were left behind. The story behind them is always very interesting too.
But it is important: We only visit abandoned places that we have booked through a provider or have previously obtained permission from the owner to enter.
In November 2022, I opened this homepage to share my photos with everyone. I am happy when I see that my pictures or calendars are hanging somewhere else in the living room or kitchen. Have fun looking at my pictures and who knows, maybe a picture of me will soon be hanging in your home 😉.
Since May 2023, a selection of my pictures can be purchased in my online shop. Printing, sales and the entire processing are handled by Saal Digital.

I will gradually add new pictures here.
In November 2023, I decided to offer my products on Etsy. There will always be offers there, such as Black Friday, so keep checking back. I'm also always designing new photo stands and new cards.
In December 2023, I was at a local Christmas market for the first time. I would now like to set up a stand at Christmas or spring markets, etc. more often. I will announce on Instagram when I am at a local market. Maybe we'll see each other at the next market in the Amberg-Sulzbach district 😊.
I started my blog in January 2024. Since I always take the train to work, I use the time wisely to write new entries here. Feel free to stop by. If you have any criticism, no matter what kind, then you are very welcome to write it to me.
I will gradually take up new topics here and try to explain them as simply as possible.
In December 2024, I started to implement my creative ideas in the form of designs, which I offer here. Each motif is drawn by me personally - a work that helps me to relax after a stressful day and let my creativity run free. I look forward to seeing where this journey will lead.
